Let’s Get Trivial is a local trivia company that brings fun, high-energy trivia nights to breweries, bars, coffee shops, and community hangouts around town. They needed a brand that was as bold, quirky, and engaging as their events—and that’s where I came in. I partnered with them to create a cohesive visual identity that felt fresh, recognizable, and a little bit cheeky, just like the name.

My Approach

Discovery Phase

  1. Industry & Competitor Research: Took a deep dive into similar entertainment and trivia brands to identify gaps and opportunities.

  2. Brand Personality Workshop: Worked with the team to define tone, values, and core audience motivations.

Design & Development

  1. Logo Design: Developed a playful, custom wordmark that felt fun and modern.

  2. Color & Typography: Built a color palette and typographic system that felt energetic, bold, and easy to read across formats.

  3. Collateral Creation: Designed event signage, table tents, social templates, and promotional merch concepts like coasters and sweatshirts.

Results

The new branding gave Let’s Get Trivial a memorable, professional identity that stood out in a crowded local event scene. Trivia attendees immediately took notice—flyers were more eye-catching, social engagement increased, and several venues even requested custom co-branded promo assets. The updated branding positioned the company for growth while still keeping its core vibe: fun, casual, and clever.

Future Plans

  1. Website Development: Create a branded website that hosts schedules, sign-ups, and trivia resources.

  2. Merch Launch: Use the new branding on t-shirts, pins, and other merchandise for attendees and trivia hosts.

  3. Social Content Expansion: Design templates and motion graphics to bring trivia nights to life online.

  4. Event Kits: Develop ready-to-go branded kits for new venues or hosts to maintain a cohesive experience.

Conclusion

This project was a perfect mix of fun and strategy. By creating a bold, playful brand identity, Let’s Get Trivial now has a look and feel that reflects the energy of their events and helps them stand out in a crowded bar scene. The branding not only brought cohesion to their trivia nights but gave them a professional presence that supports future growth into new venues and offerings. It’s proof that thoughtful design can turn a local game night into a recognizable brand experience.
